Press Release: ANHALT INTELLIGENCE Secures Six-Figure Seed Funding for a Legal-Compliant AI clerk

Halle (Saale), February 20, 2026. The Halle-based AI startup ANHALT INTELLIGENCE (AI) is launching the development of MAIK (“My AI clerK”): a novel cloud-based AI assistant that operates using modern Retrieval Augmented Generation and European infrastructure.

To that end, the startup secured seed funding in the mid-six-figure range from the state of Saxony-Anhalt and the European Union.

MAIK is fully committed to European standards—it is fully GDPR-compliant and already in line with the European AI Regulation, the AI Act. This AI assistant will produce fewer “hallucinations,” meaning it will be more factually accurate than previous providers, thereby making information retrieval and management more efficient and accessible. MAIK will be integrated into the existing CAMPUS home office cloud and equipped with a data library that customers can customize—initially for professionals bound by professional secrecy and public administration in the DACH region.

A strong regional network and funding from the Cross-Innovation Program will support product development through 2027.
