Collaborative Editing of Documents

Collaborative file editing offers many benefits for your organization. Below are some of the benefits specific to editing in CAMPUS.

Share with selected members:

By default, the “Documents” app can only be shared with selected members (CAMPUS users). To do this, you can, for example, export a shareable link and share it with the users you want to grant access to. Alternatively, you can manually add users to the CAMPUS Cloud. Entire, internally defined user groups can also be added, provided they have been defined in advance. The process of sharing a created document with other users of the CAMPUS Cloud works the same way as sharing other file formats, such as a diagram. After sharing, other users can also work on the same document.

Real-time co-editing is possible:

The app’s “co-editing” feature operates in real time and saves changes automatically. Alternatively, the settings for this feature can be changed from “Automatic” to “Strict.” In this mode, changes made by users to the file are initially saved only on their respective devices and are only saved to the shared document after coordination.

Comments and discussions:

You can always add comments to files. These comments can be organized by author and date. You can reply directly to document users in the comments, ensuring that no communication within the document is overlooked.

Of course, these are just a few of the benefits you’ll enjoy when collaborating on documents. Discover more benefits by trying it out for yourself in CAMPUS!
